The pousadas
The pousadas are the very modest and clean inns where we will stay. They are spiritual abodes for those seeking treatments at the Casa. The Entities continue their work during sleep time where spiritual operations can take place. Our pousada is called Nosso Lar. You will receive 3 meals a day, of which two are prepared to your taste. For dinner, I will take you to different restaurants if not otherwise planned. During meals, we share our impressions and our amazement, but in order to integrate these experiences lived at the Casa, the rest of the time we cultivate silence and peace.
Internet Cafés
You can access Internet cafés to write to your loves ones. You can also print your messages and hook-up your laptop to the Internet. Other services such, as pharmacies, restaurants, clothes shops and hairdressers and so on are available at Abadiânia. At the Fruttis’s restaurant next to our pousada, it is possible to make your phone calls in comfortable individual little rooms, and then pay at the cashier. This way is easier than using calling cards.

What to bring to Brazil
• The airport is huge: best is to have suitcases on wheels. Also, attach a large red ribbon on the
handle so you may easily recognize your luggage. Also, write your name, your telephone number
in Quebec and the address of your final destination, the Pousada Nosso Lar, as written on your
visa and stickled on your luggage.
• Copies of your passport, visa, plane ticket, travel insurance, health insurance, etc. and also give
me a copy at the airport.
• Pictures of your loved ones to show to the Entities and to receive herbs for them if need be
(40 us$ per person for 5 bottles of herbs, to ask before leaving since it is recommended that each
person pays for their herbs). Pictures will be in double impression with, on the reverse side,
NAME, ADDRESS, AGE, TELEPHONE AND REQUESTS FOR THE ENTITY.
• Light, decent and comfortable white clothes for the 3 times a week séances in the Casa.
• Light clothes for other days - Shoes and trekking sandals.
• A sweater, a vest or a shawl since the evenings and the nights are cool.
• White night gown or long white tee-shirt.
• A flashlight, a battery operated alarm clock, a camera, batteries, a battery charger and an
adapter
for 220 volts
• A CD player with soft, inspirational music for the 24-hour post-operatory period where you will
rest and remain silent.
• Kleenex, soap, shampoo, hairdryer, toothbrush, feminine hygiene set, antibacterial wipes, etc., a
kit containing digestive enzymes, aspirins, anti-diarrhea pills, band-aids, mosquitoes repellent.
• An umbrella, a hat to protect you from the sun, a bathing suit (swimming pool and falls).
• Candles, candle holder, incense, a notebook and pen, a small Brazilian dictionary.
• Please bring your own jam, bio almond or peanut butter, cereals, almond milk (1 litre per week)
one bio bread per week, salad dressing, oil, etc, because food in Brazil is very basic.
• Bring enough money in 100 us$ denomination to be changed into Brazilian Reals (no travelers’
checks). The nearest bank is 50 us$ away by taxi. In Abadiânia and across Brazil, the most
popular cards are Master Card, VISA and AmericanXpress. Agencies will change your money for
a fee. Always carry a credit card with a 4-digit PIN number to withdraw money at international
automatic tellers. Arrange for a person who is close to you to be able to deposit or withdraw money
for you in case of emergency.
• On the premises, for 3 reals a piece, you can trust you clothes to be washed and ironed
